Available Scum Actions:
FD - Jack
1 Use of Roleblock
1 Use of Janitor
1 Use of Lawyer (cannot be used to save scum)
Leo - Detective
Any Night: Scan 1 player a night and get 2 roles back.
Once Per Game: Pick a target and state their role. If accurate they die. Unblockable.
Dumey - Roleblocker (standard)
Red - Unscannable (scans as town vanilla in most senses)
Tony - Watcher (standard)
~~~~~
I think it's pretty clear Tony can not watch anyone, nor should he send the kill. The tracker fear is too real. And so it sucks but I think Tony just sits put.
Leo should certainly use his normal detective on someone. Preferably someone active who seems to have a good sense of who scum is (which unfortunately covers a lot of people).
Red is probably safe to send the kill since he should immune to scanning type roles? This should also be someone active who seems to have a good sense of who scum is.
And for clarification on Janitor, would I be in addition to someone else performing the kill? So if red kills someone then I use my janitor to hide the body. Or would my janitor usage also be the act of our kill itself?
And Dumey should roleblock....nobody? Like honestly not sure how to play this because we want to stop town power but we also want Tony to be clearly town.
For being night 1 this is actually quite a complicated mess of decisions.
Janitor is usually required to send the kill with it.
Janitor is not required to send in the kill, he can hand the killer a bucket.
Edit: Then I would be in favor of handing a bucket to red tonight while he kills whoever our target should be.
Who threw the most suspicion at corrik today? Maybe take them out?
It was Scare and me for suspicion of Corrik. Corrik was meta-ing that he would protect Scare, but I don't think he's actual protection. Scare is still a bad option.
I still think we scan Corrik. May be easy to nab our Detective kill if he shows up as Bodyguard (assuming Chris uses random role selection and doesn't intentionally fuck with us)
I said this earlier in the Day 1 discussion, but I think Plum is a good kill target. I haven't played in a while so maybe my read is just very off, but he seems very reserved. Not playing a Vanilla game. Also with the Zam situation, he's probably leaning toward town on most people's radars.
If we're going to have Tony AND me do nothing, then we might as well submit the track and have me roleblock Tony. Silly, but points for being truthful!
I'm just not sure I believe we have to 100% have to say Tony is roleblocked. I understand the logic that it's almost guaranteed, but is it that uncommon for scum to NOT have a roleblocker?
no reason to target tony. someone sees you target him and he says roleblocked you die.
we know theres no watcher to watch tony so we dont have to have X people on him.
Tony claims not roleblocked hes going to have that come back to bite him in the ass at some point in the game. And we have quite a few days in front of us due to a scum kill night 1.
If scum didn't have roleblocker they would have a strongarm so they would just kill the claimed watcher.
So we can't sell the lack of a strongarm if he doesn't get blocked, imo.
I'm fun with the plum kill, especially since as you said he appears town cleared via zam.
I was being dumb. The issue wasn't people not believing there's a roleblocker. The problem is if I roleblock someone else and they confirm it.
So I agree. Have me do nothing. Have Tony do nothing Night 1. Claim he tried to scan Scare, but was roleblocked.
Leo's Detective Scan on Corrik. Objections?
Using Janitor night one is probably fair. Objections to Plum? Is it too random? Do we need to hit a higher priority target? I feel like Scare and Han both help us at the moment.
So we're looking at tentatively:
Red kills Plum. FD hands red bucket. Leo detective scans Corrik? Tony claims blocked. Dumey curses the ghost of zam for making his role useless.
Ideally perhaps we can use our detective to identify 2 different people with night actions over tonight and tomorrow. (Or someone claims a scan tomorrow and we identify corrik has an action tonight?)
And then on night 3 we can roleblock both of them and stand back to see what happens when they both claim blocked?
I'd rather kill Corrik than Plum, but I'm really bad with night actions so I'll go along with whatever you guys deem best.
The fact that Corrik has lucked into a read on 3 of us is annoying. I assume he will be insufferable after the game is over.
But i think we have to put up with him for now and prioritize someone who is near unanimously considered town.
Yep, we're in a bad spot and have to cut down on some confirmed town.
I dunno, I think I should act. I wanna target someone like Corrik.
If I get tracked to them and he report nothing happens, I’ll be even more confirmed.
I’ll still report as blocked, but a doc or a cop could very well visit him tonight, and he TOLD me to visit him.
If we don’t find that Cop soon, in this long game we’re going to be hurting.
Unless I dreamt it, someone asked this in game, and Corrik even said he didn’t know: no one knows for sure if a roleblocked person tracks as have moved, and if anything a person can say it varies by host whether they count as moved.
Of course it should go without saying, if I get tracked to Corrik tonight, no matter how convincing he is, we CANNOT kill him tomorrow.
In fact, the Corrik fear is so strong, I think him being good as hell works in our favor, as his reads will scare people away—as long as he stays alive.
